SHOP POLICIES FOR SARAH HALLIDAY ART

(Products excluding fine art paintings)

Fabric

Any irregularities and variations in the weave of the fabrics are in no way to be

considered as defects. They are a characteristic of the natural fibre.

 

Shop Products

Colours may vary slightly from the colours viewed on your monitor / device

 

Order

You are responsible for entering all your details correctly when making an order.

When an order has been submitted and accepted, you will receive a confirmation email to confirm the order.

 

Processing Time

Processing time for goods purchased from the shop section of my website will be 3 - 5 working days. You will be notified by email once the goods have been shipped.

 

Shipping

The goods will be shipped by Royal Mail (for UK) and are subject to their terms and conditions once posted.

For international shipping, once the goods leave the UK they will be subject to their destinations postal service.

Goods over the value of £20 will have their shipping automatically upgraded to ‘Track and Sign For’ when posted, and will be subject to Royal Mail terms and conditions.

The customer must contact us within 2 weeks of postage date if the goods do not arrive at the customers selected address. Any lost items are subject to Royal Mail terms and conditions.

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. The seller is not  responsible for delays due to customs.

 

Refund Policy 

I gladly accept returns and exchanges

Just contact me within:  14 days of delivery

Ship returns back to me within:  30 days of delivery

I don't accept cancellations

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for custom or personalised orders.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

 

Shipping (Fine Art)

The price for shipping fine art is determined by the size, weight and value of the artwork. A separate price for shipping the artwork will be given on the quotation. This will include insurance in case the painting is damaged in transit. You are responsible for providing me with the correct postal details.

No refunds, returns or exchanges will be accepted on commissioned fine art paintings.

The buyer is responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. The seller/artist is not responsible for delays due to customs.

TERMS & CONDITIONS (skills for hire)

Illustration / Fine Art / Graphic Design

 

The Brief

You will need to provide the artist/designer with a detailed brief, and the required usage of the artwork.

 

Quotations and Pricing

You will be provided with a quotation, which includes the price for the finished job and (if applicable) the total number of days/hours that will be assigned to the job. The quotation will also state the type of work to be undertaken, e.g. fine art, illustration or graphic design.

 

Illustration

Pricing is determined by the complexity of the artwork required, how quickly it is required, the usage/area of usage or territory, and the duration of the licence required.

 

Fine Art

Pricing is determined by how quickly the artwork is required, the size and complexity of the painting.

 

Graphic Design

Pricing is done on an hourly rate.

 

Acceptance of quotations must be done in writing.

 

Quotations will be valid for 7 days.

 

The Process

Artwork will be produced from the brief.

Illustration and Fine Art

Unless agreed in writing, the brief cannot be added to once the work has been started. You will be notified of when the work will commence.

It is not possible to provide proofs/sign offs. The artwork will be interpreted from the brief, so it is important you tell the artist everything that needs to be included in the final artwork in the brief. Any revisions required at the end of the project will not be included in the initial quotation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The artist/designer is not liable for extra expenses that may be incurred during the course of a job. For example, stock photography, additional font, or any other props or products necessary to complete the job. However, if additional expenses are required, you will be made aware of this at the quotation stage.

Any completion date quoted will be a general estimation. I cannot be held liable if the completion date is missed. If there is any delay, updates will be given.

Graphic Design

Revisions will be limited to time, and will be stated on the quotation.

The artist/designer is not liable for extra expenses that may be incurred during the course of a job. However, if additional expenses are required, you will be made aware of this at the quotation stage.

The Artwork

Fine Art

You will be purchasing the painting only. IP and copyright cannot be purchased.

Illustration

You will be purchasing a licence to use the artwork for the agreed purpose. The usage rights will be contained in the quotation. You can only use the finished artwork for the purpose it was intended. Additional licences can be bought if you wish to extend the scope of usage.

The copyright will lie with the artist for all art work produced. However, you are able to purchase this copyright outright for exclusive use if you wish.

Graphic Design

For graphic design, upon payment of the final invoice, the IP and copyright will automatically pass to you. I reserve the right to use the artwork for any promotional or marketing purposes.

Licensing

Please get in touch with me if you wish to purchase a license to use any of the artwork on the site. Contractual agreements will be made on an individual basis depending on the artwork requested and the scope of use.

 

Payment

An invoice will be issued on completion of the artwork. Payment terms are 14 days from the date of the invoice. Payments can be made by BACS or cheque. Any payment not received within 30 days of the date of the invoice will be considered in arrears.

For jobs over the value of £500, 50% will be required at the start and the rest upon completion. In this instance, an invoice will be issued both at the start and end of the job. No work will begin until first payment has been received.

 

Cancelation

Cancellations must be made in writing. All work completed must be paid for and will be invoiced accordingly.

 

Rights of Refusal 

I will not include any text, design, image or other data which I deem to be immoral, offensive or illegal. All advertising material must conform to standards laid down all relevant advertising standards authorities.  I reserve the right to refuse to include submitted material without giving reason.
